Magnetostrictive level sensor for siliceous sand

KunLun Magnetostrictive Probe is designed based on magnetostrictive theory. The

electronic parts of the probe produce a low-voltage electric current "inquiring" pulse, at the same time the pulse produces a magnetic field which travels downwards along the waveguide. Because there are a group of magnets which also produce a magnetic field inside the floater which is moving up and down with the change of the liquid level, there are two magnetic fields in the probe. When two magnetic fields meet, the waveguide will twist and one wave will be produced, we call it the "returning" pulse. Then the electronic parts detect the cycle from producing the pulse of "inquiring" to receiving the pulse of "returning", i.e. the corresponding accurate change of liquid level. Installing temperature sensors inside the probe can make it detect and transfer the liquid temperature continuously at the same time.

1. All parts can be fixed in the right order, cannot be reversed.

2. The inner Ex-proof barrier must be Ex-proof cement plugging to avoid oil or gas into monitor office

3. Sealing parts must tighten cable well to avoid oil and gas infiltration.

4. All parts must be fully tightened.

5. Cable in the junction box should be 15-20cm

The tank unloading/discharge port direction can not face the probe in order to avoid damage. Keep the probe far from unloading port and submersible pump. You must measure the fuel heights before and after fuel unloading, then get the deviation from comparison between the heights and values from

probe.

Cautions:

1.Use antistatic tools during installation, such as bronzewrench, screw driver and so on.

2.Make sure the probe in right angle (vertical) during installation. Any tilt will affect fuel height and volume accuracy.

3.Do not force the communication lines during the installation

Probe installation

1）Choose right probe according to tank, manhole height and other parameters.
2）Take out the probe from package. Prevent the probe from deformation and scratches.
3）Remove the packing foam.
4）Install the fixed disk on the both ends of electrical area.
5）Connect the communication line into electrical area and tighten ht eplug.
6）Place fuel float, water float on the bottom of probe.

Magnetostrictive Liquid Level Sensor

When electrical pulse annular magnetic field meets with floater intrinsic magnetic field, both of the field vectors add together to form spiral magnetic field to produce instantaneous torque force and form a mechanical torque force wave on the aveguide wire to transfer back to electrical probe at a certain speed nso as to create induction pulse on both ends of the coil.

Through measurement of time difference between induction pulses produced by electrical pulse and torque force wave, it can accurately calculate the height of liquid level. Fixing high accurate temperature sensor in the measuring pole can measure medium temperature.
